Community Outreach & Evangelism Project

Jesus Christ instructs us to go into the world to preach the gospel to the lost souls all over the world, those are the sheep outside the sheepfold according to John 10:16. “I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also. They will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock with one shepherd”. In this end time where the enemy is working to exceed his limitation, Christians should work harder at a steady rate to spread the gospel by all means.

It was such a blessing and exciting to watch young people give their lives to Jesus. The community outreach was carried out at the Community room at Hilliard Homes apartments in Chicago. The team went out and invited the residents to have free meals and drinks in the room. The program was meant to show them that one needs to feed his soul as he feeds his stomach.‘Grab a Bite, Feed your Soul’, was the slogan. In the process of giving out food, we shared the gospel with them, and handed them tract and the Gospel of John. We had a privilege to encourage some of them who came with personal problems. Amidst their numerous questions about salvation, sin and life in general, the young adults were hoping we will visit them again or repeat such an outreach program from time to time.  In all, we evangelized to 18 young adults and 2 children. Out of these, 10% of them confirmed they had already accepted Jesus as their personal savior, the rest of them professed to have stopped going to church or never went to church. We also had the opportunity to lead 10 of them to pray the sinner's prayer. We planned to continue send correspondence and also hold bible discussions with them from time to time.
